John Hendrie column
I remember when Nahki Wells first joined Carlisle before he had a car.
Greg Abbott put him in a club flat and said: “If there’s anything you need, here’s my mobile number. Call me any time.”
It was a Friday night and Greg’s at home looking over his tactics for the next day’s game when the phone goes. It’s Nahki.
“Boss, I’ve no milk. Can you go to Asda and pick me some up?”
I better not repeat the response but that was the naivety of the young lad. He’s come a long way since then.
