Guiseley’s wait for a first league game since Boxing Day continued at the weekend as Mark Bower’s men suffered a fourth consecutive postponement.
Their Conference North clash against Stockport County was shelved due to a waterlogged pitch at Nethermoor.
It was the third league game scheduled for Nethermoor to succumb to the severe wet weather and added to their postponed trip to Brackley Town on January 4.
Saturday’s postponement didn’t cost Guiseley too much as they remain tenth in the table but they could slip down a place tomorrow night if neighbours Bradford Park Avenue win at home to Leamington.
It would be temporary bragging rights for Avenue as former Bantams’ skipper Bower is hoping that his squad will be back in action on Tuesday night when they are due to travel to Solihull Moors. They will have six games in hand by then.
Silsden also lost no ground in the table following the postponement of their North West Counties League Premier Division match at the weekend. The Cobbydalers were due to travel to West Didsbury & Chorlton.
