Brighouse Town hope there will be no problems with the pitch at their Dual Seal Stadium on Saturday as they look to host neighbours and promotion rivals Thackley.
The reverse fixture in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division was due to be at Dennyfield last weekend but was postponed due to the wet weather.
Town are looking to bounce back from a midweek defeat at Worksop Parramore, while the Dennyboys travel with confidence after a 4-2 win against Parkgate.
Town are now nine points behind Thackley but have five games in hand.
Sixth-placed Albion Sports are sandwiched between their two local rivals after enjoying a 3-0 win last weekend but their weather problems came in midweek when their trip to Staveley MW bit the dust.
Kulwinder Sandhu’s men are expected to win away again at the weekend as their hosts are third from bottom Winterton Rangers.
Liversedge are itching to return to action, having yet to play this year. They suffered postponements at Winterton, in midweek, and at home to Worksop Parramore last weekend.
Sedge are due to visit Worksop on Saturday, whose victory over Brighouse Town left them in ninth place but with seven games in hand on leaders Barton.
In Division One, Eccleshill United face a tough home derby against AFC Emley.
United are fifth and have an eight-point cushion over their visitors but ninth-placed Emley are capable of springing a surprise.
Lee Duxbury’s Eagles have slipped ten points off the pace and need a surge to get themselves back into the promotion picture.
