Guiseley are in danger of being undercooked as they go into the biggest game of their season so far.
The Lions head to Conference Premier full-timers Aldershot Town in the third round of the FA Trophy on Saturday.
A place in the quarter-finals and the not insignificant sum of £7,000 in prize money is at stake.
Motivation is not lacking but the Lions have not played since Boxing Day because of the unusually wet weather.
Mark Bower’s men have been frustrated by postponements three times over the holiday period and are yet to face any meaningful action in 2014.
Bower has also lost the services of experienced centre back Adam Lockwood. The big defender joined League One Oldham Athletic soon after the transfer window opened, signing a contract until the end of the season.
The centre of defence has been a problem for former Bantams centre back Bower since he took over the hot-seat. Danny Ellis has been out almost since the campaign began while Lockwood and Danny Hall, another player drafted in by Bower, have both had spells on the sidelines.
Guiseley are tenth in the Conference North but are bang in form and on a run of 15 games unbeaten.
The Shots are not having a good season and are fifth bottom in a division which has four relegation places.
Andy Scott has recently increased his squad with the loan signing of Wales under-21 international defender Joe Partington from Championship outfit AFC Bournemouth and the return of striker Bradley Bubb.
Bubb, a Grenada international, left the EBB Stadium to join Belgian top tier club Royal Antwerp but the move didn’t work out for him and he signed for the Shots on his return to England.
