David Syers will not be making a return to Valley Parade.
Rumours suggested the Doncaster midfielder could be on his way back to City.
Rovers brought him back a week early from a successful loan at Scunthorpe, where Syers scored five goals in 15 appearances. He is out of contract at the end of the season.
But Phil Parkinson stressed today that the 26-year-old was not on City's radar.
League Two leaders Scunthorpe are still keen to land him on a permanent basis.
