Farsley boss Neil Parsley declared he was happy with his club’s points haul over the holiday period ahead of their testing trip to Cammell Laird on Saturday.

Parsley’s men took four points from two games after their journey to Ramsbottom on Saturday was postponed.

Following his side’s 4-1 New Year’s Day win over neighbours Ossett Albion, Parsley said: “I’m satisfied with four points from the Boxing Day and New Year’s Day games after we lost the game in between to the weather.

“Cammell Laird is always a difficult place to go to and Tony Sullivan will have them well organised and ready for our visit. But we are on a good run of form and have a clean bill of health.

“We will have to see how Aaron Hardy is after he got a hamstring strain but he should be okay.

“The three substitutions we made in the Ossett game were all tactical and helped with getting players game time to keep them match fit.”

Farsley held onto their third place as many of their promotion rivals were left sidelined by Wednesday’s poor weather.

Parsley’s men are now just two points off second spot but with all the other clubs, bar new leaders Curzon Ashton, in the top six suffering postponements, Farsley have now played one more game than their play-off rivals.
