There was only one match played in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League yesterday, due to the unavailability of grounds, and Grass Greener United A must have been delighted that their Division 2B game against Second West went ahead.
United went goal crazy, hitting eight without reply, including a perfect hat-trick by Ben Cawley – right foot, left foot and a header.
Andy Patterson got into the act with a brace, and Craig Wiseman, James Brown and Karl Parratt also got on the scoresheet.
This division is very closely contested, with only five points separating the top six, and this victory moves Grass Greener on to 25 points, and into joint second alongside Salthorn WMC and Toller, with Cartwright Lister leading the way on 27.
