Leaders Grangefield Old Boys paid dearly for missing numerous chances in the first quarter of their Yorkshire Amateur League Senior A Division clash at Ealandians.
Grangefield had first use of the wind and slope but went in a goal down to a James Flower header from Wayne Crossley's delivery.
The visitors lost their way in the second half as Ealandians cashed in to triumph 6-0 with goals from Rob Gerrard (2), Crossley (penalty), substitute Matty Parker and an own goal after pressure from Crossley.
Ealandians are now only three points behind with two games in hand and a far superior goal difference.
Old Batelians goalkeeper Michael Smith was a shoo-in for man of the match after an outstanding display in their 5-1 defeat at Gildersome Sours Old Boys.
He made 20 excellent stops, including half-a-dozen one on ones with Matt Jackson.
Batelians trailed 3-0 at half-time to Jackson (2) and Ben Keedy but reduced the arrears via Michael Heseldin before Keedy and skipper Lee Thrush completed the scoring.
Undefeated Spurs are now fifth, having won five of their six league games, and are six points behind Grangefield with four games in hand.
Batelians are bottom, three points adrift of Leeds Medics but have played three games more and have a much worse goal difference.

The old boys controlled midfield for the first 20 minutes and netted twice through Brad Burrow, who converted a left-wing corner from Steve Tierney, and James Allen, who headed neatly into the top corner.
North East Leeds came more into the game without ever threatening the Stanningley goal and it was midway through the second half that Stanningley clinched the points after Tierney converted a penalty.
St Bede's remain rock bottom of the Senior B Division with no points from seven games after an 8-0 defeat at Beeston Old Boys.

Stanningley Old Boys Reserves were clinical in their 4-2 victory at Collingham Juniors Old Boys.
Collingham took the lead twice through Jordan Reilly and Jamie Rowlands either side of half-time, an own goal levelling matters in the first half, but they tired in the second, conceding three from set plays.
Chris Cairns netted direct from a corner, Dave Webb headed home a corner and John Mallinson added the fourth following a free-kick for Stanningley, who are a point behind leaders Medics Reserves with two games in hand.
Morley Town beat strong visitors Gildersome Spurs Old Boys Reserves 5-2 in a competitive derby to go top of Division One by a point from Beeston St Anthony's.
Gildersome, who are fifth, twice took the lead, firstly through leading scorer Mikey Durham, who has 15 goals this season, and secondly through Josh Sheldrake.
Morley did, however, lead 3-2 at the break before extending that advantage. Goals came from Marc Haley (3), players' man of the match Ryan Hartley and Matthew Ibbotson.
Bainbridge are out of a Division Two relegation berth after their 1-1 draw at Amaranth Crossgates.
Razik Ali put Bainbridge ahead in the 60th minute, after a number of chances had gone begging, with Joe Johnson equalising ten minutes later.
