Silsden’s Boxing Day roses derby clash just across the Lancashire border at Barnoldswick Town tomorrow will be subject to a pitch inspection.
Cobbydalers’ spokesman Jim Rosser said: “The weather was bad after the final whistle last Saturday and our reserves’ game was off.
“The pitches were in such bad condition and they won’t have improved much.
“There has been a lot more rain since then and Barlick’s pitch will be the same as ours.
“That must make the game very doubtful indeed.”
Should they get the go-ahead the Cobbydalers will be looking to bounce back from their 3-1 weekend defeat.
Three wins on the trot before then had lifted Silsden clear of the drop zone in the North West Counties League Premier Division.
If they can get back to winning ways they would go level on points with their local rivals, who are five places higher up the table.
