Tomorrow is Women’s West Riding County Cup quarter-final day, with Bradford City hoping to repeat their superb FA Women’s Prem-ier League form and claim a semi-final place at the expense of Northern Comb-ination outfit Leeds City Vixens.
With a League Cup quarter-final place assured, courtesy of a 4-1 win over Stoke City in the final game of the group stage, tomorrow’s game at Thackley is the second leg of their two-pronged trophy quest.
A hat-trick from Chantelle O’Hara and a fourth from Becky Kendell secured the win over Stoke but City must not take the Vixens for granted, despite their league status.
Awaiting the winners in the semi-final, to be played at county headquarters in March, are the winners of the all-West Riding League tie between Ossett Town and Brighouse Sports.
Whoever wins the Wake-field versus Leeds United clash will face the winners of the quarter-final game between Wetherby Athletic and Lepton Highlanders.

The City reserve team are without a game this week but they remain top of the FA Premier League Reserve Division.

In the West Riding League Premier Division, Bradford Park Avenue have been busy recruiting players but, despite five new signings, they crashed 6-1 at home to leaders Harrogate Railway. Sophie Mitchell gave Avenue the lead but the loss of defenders Claire Han-cock and Sophie O’Brien through injury cost them dear in the second half.
Ossett Town’s County Cup adventure is at least a break from their disappointing league campaign. A 6-1 defeat at Keighley Oaks sees them still without a win in this division.
Avenue are back in action in a rearranged game at Farsley on Tuesday night, kicking off at 7.45 while, in the Third Division, Brad-ford City’s A team, in their inaugural season, maintained their 100 per cent record at second-placed Wetherby Athletic reserves.
Jess McPherson hit the only goal of the game at Wetherby and they are now looking to make it seven wins from seven with a home game against Norristhorpe.
