Farsley survived a penalty shoot-out at Harrogate Railway Athletic to reach the third round of the Doodson Sport (Evo-Stik League) Cup.
It finished goalless after 90 minutes following a match that saw Farsley start brightly before the hosts created some good chances in the second half.
That took the tie straight to penalties and Neil Parsley’s men progressed after netting their first four, while Railway missed one and had one saved by Tom Moran.
