There was late drama in Steeton’s Premier Division clash at home to Halifax Irish.
Steeton were leading 3-2 in the dying seconds when Irish snatched an equaliser, only for the home side to go straight down to the other end and gain a stoppage-time penalty.
Lee Reilly held his nerve to convert, completing his hat-trick and securing all three points.
Andy Holden scored the other Steeton goal while Max Crossley, Callum Cook and Gareth Jones were on target for the Irishmen. Littletown – who have played four more games than leaders Ovenden West Riding – moved level on points after drawing 2-2 with Kirkburton.
Jordan Maltas and Lamin Bojang scored for Littletown with Jack Greene and Sean Sykes netting for Kirkburton.
Salts held a 3-2 half-lead at Golcar United but conceded two goals after the break to lose 4-3.
John McAliskey, Andrew Allison Jonathon Newiss and an own goal made up the home side’s tally, with Kyle Berry (2) and Chris McTigue scoring for Salts.
Hunsworth saw their run of ten consecutive Division One victories come to an end when visitors West Horton returned home with a 3-2 victory thanks to goals from Mohammed Ikram, Tahir Khan and Jordan Northin. Andrew Wood and Dale Wright were on target for Hunsworth.
Ventus/Yeadon moved level on points with Hunsworth but stay in second place with an inferior goal difference after beating Campion Reserves 2-1.
Ryan Firth and Billy Swiatek scored for Ventus, with Chris Graham replying for Campion.
Wibsey continued their climb up the table, moving up to fifth place, after beating Steeton Reserves 6-2.
Joe Brooksbank and Mick Burke both scored twice to add to goals from Daniel O’Donnell and Mick Walton. Joshua Ferguson and Craig Gregory were Steeton’s scorers.
Dudley Hill Rangers continue to lead the way in Division Two and maintained their three-point advantage over DRAM Community FC with two goals from Steven Royston and one each by Nico Carrucclo and Dominic Staunton in a 4-0 success at bottom side Bradford FC.
Tyersal Reserves stay in third after drawing 2-2 at home to Golcar United Reserves – Shane Pogson and Wayne Wright netting for Tyersal.
* The West Riding County Amateur League Representative side marched into the quarter-final of The FA Inter League Cup with a 3-0 victory over the Manchester Football League at Ashton United’s ground.
Scott Eastwood (Ovenden West Riding) celebrated his 21st birthday by scoring in the 55th minute before Gavin Armitage (Storthes Hall) doubled the lead on the hour mark.
John Booth, of Ovenden West Riding, netted the third with 20 minutes to go to cement victory.
