Silsden 0 Glossop North End 1
The Cobbydalers returned to action after more than a fortnight off but the result was very much a continuation of recent form.
Silsden hosted Glossop North End, who are not ripping up any trees either, but the mid-table visitors were good value for their win.
They threatened in the goalless first half, with Sam Madeley, Andy Killheeney and Tom Bailey all going close.
Glossop won the game with a speculative shot from Madeley nine minutes into the second half.
The Cobbydalers managed just two chances of note in the entire game.
A Mikey Hall header went straight to the visitors’ keeper following a good move in the first half and when the same player attempted a difficult volley late in the game, that was also easy for the Glossop keeper.
Spokesman Jim Rosser said: “Back to normal, playing games and losing. Glossop are a mid-table side, a little bit up and down, but we were second best against them. We were just not at the races, especially early on, and it didn’t get any better.”
