Farsley climbed back into the play-off zone in Evo-Stik Division One North with a narrow but deserved 1-0 victory at Ossett Town last night.
On a night when striker Adam Priestley was unavailable because of international duty it was centre back Matt Dempsey who scored the winning goal.
Farsley forwards Aiden Savory and Lee Ellington had gone close in the goalless first half and skipper Rob O’Brien had forced the home keeper into a sharp save.
Dempsey netted in the 65th minute, which was more than Priestley managed, although his debut for Gibraltar went well as they earned a 0-0 draw against Slovakia in their first match as a sanctioned independent FA.
