Keighley member Calum Hey is to share the Bradford Union golfer of the year title with Cleckheaton’s Chris Green.
Initial points calculations indicated that Hey had won the crown outright in a season which saw him become the youngest player to clinch the Bradford Open.
But an oversight by the Union when collating scores for the Jim Wade Trophy has seen Green now being given an extra six points for his third-place finish in that competition.
That left him level with Hey on 57 points and it has been agreed that the pair will share the Karl Curran Trophy, which is awarded to the player of the year.
Bradford Union league secretary Dean Bailey said an 18-hole play-off on a neutral course was usually held in the event of a tie for first place.
But he said it was agreed the players would share the prize on this occasion due to the late timing of the final result.
