Skipton’s blind golfer Malcolm Elrick is feeling on top of the world.
The 60-year-old European champion was unbeaten as the Rest of the World defeated North America 13½-12½.
Elrick, who has a club handicap of 20, plays off 26 in international competition and was in good form at the Columbus venue as he won all his three matches.
On the first day he won 5&4 in his betterball game. He followed up with a 3&1 victory in the second day’s betterball encounters, before finishing off with a singles win on a tense final day, also by 3&1.
Elrick’s next big target is to compete in the 2014 Blind World Championships in Australia.
