Bradford Park Avenue will get a second bite at the cherry tonight as they aim for a third appearance in a row in the FA Cup first round proper.
Avenue held Conference Premier high-fliers Kidderminster Harriers to a 1-1 draw at Horsfall Stadium on Sunday in the fourth qualifying round, so the sides must battle it out again tonight for the right to host either Hemel Hempstead or Sutton Town – who also replay tonight.
Bradford boss John Deacey was delighted with the performance of his players in the first meeting and he is looking for another big effort from the squad tonight.
He said: “Everybody we had fit and available for the weekend was involved and we didn’t pick up any fresh injuries, so the squad will be the same.
“I thought the players gave everything on Sunday against very difficult opponents.
“I keep saying that Kidderminster are currently the second best team in non-league football because they are second in the Conference Premier but they are full-time players so they are not really non-league like us – even though we are only a division below them.
“I can see them getting into the Football League this season. They have been in there before and after seeing them up close the other day I think they have the quality to get promoted and do well in League Two.”
The only Avenue players to miss Sunday’s game were Jamie Price, Jason St Juste and Steve Mallory. All three remain doubtful for tonight.
