Two late goals enabled the West Riding County Amateur League representative side to reach the second round of the FA Inter-League Cup.

They trailed the Essex & Suffolk Border League early on but took advantage of their hosts having two players sent off in the second half to win 2-1.

Josh Dillon edged the home side in front after just seven minutes at the AFC Sudbury venue and it was not until Essex & Suffolk had two men dismissed for second yellow cards that the County Amateurs were able to find a way to break them down.

Just 11 minutes remained when Danny Stocker (Bay Athletic) scrambled the ball over the line to equalise.

Gavin Armitage (Storthes Hall) then had a penalty well saved by the Essex & Suffolk keeper and at this stage extra time looked inevitable.

But a mix-up between the home keeper and a defender allowed Armitage to make amends by hitting the winner, which secured another away tie against the Manchester League at Ashton United on Saturday, November 30.

Domestic County Amateur League action saw Salts pick up their first Premier Division point in six games when they were held to a 1-1 draw by basement side Hall Green United.

Kyle Berry levelled for Salts after Mark Wilson had given the previously pointless visitors the advantage.

League newcomers DRAM Community, who won six of their first seven Division Two games, have now lost two on the trot after Ovenden Reserves beat them 4-2 with goals from Jacob Wood (2), Carlton Pownall and Richard Hartley.

Dudley Hill Rangers are up to second after two Roman Zurek goals and one by Dominic Staunton earned a 3-0 win at Hall Green United Reserves.

Goals by Sean Pogson and Wayne Wright gave Tyersal Reserves a 2-1 victory over Lower Hopton Reserves, who would have taken over top spot with a victory.

Bradford FC missed a chance to move off the bottom of the table as they lost 2-1 at Kirkburton Reserves.
