This weekend’s Bradford Sunday Alliance League focus returns to domestic action after three weeks of various cup competitions taking centre stage.
It is tight at the top of the Premier Division and leaders Sandy Lane will be tested to the full at home to a much-improved Thornton United team.
Second-placed Buttershaw White Star are four points behind Sandy Lane but have four games in hand and a match against top-flight newcomers Peel Park should not be too daunting.
Stanningley Albion are fifth and would climb above third-placed visitors West Bowling with a victory.
The feature game in Division One is undoubtedly the one that pairs Bradford Phoenix, who are third, with current top dogs Buttershaw Celtic, who would be overhauled if they lose.
In Division 1A, table-toppers Wyke Rangers will have to be wary as they visit Stocks Lane Rangers, who are three points adrift in fourth position.
