Raffaele De Vita wants to give the travelling City ranks something to cheer at Deepdale.
The Italian is pushing for a first league start after ten outings from the bench.
With around 2,000 away fans expected, he would love that chance tonight.
De Vita, who looked bright when he came on in the late stages at Crawley, said: “Preston will be a great place to go.
"It doesn’t get any better in League One, and that’s a trip to look forward to.
“It’s a beautiful stadium and I’ve heard there will be many fans following us. It was great how many were there at Crawley.
“You think of the money they spend to bring the family down. It obviously hurts us to know they have travelled that far and are going back with nothing to cheer about.
“The main thing is that they are happy with our performance. What happened against Hartlepool (in the JPT) for example was not acceptable – they travelled to watch us and got that.
"Saturday was different. We were not at our best but were unlucky not to get at least a point, and hopefully we can get the result tonight.
“Up until two weeks ago, everything was fantastic. It was a brilliant start for the team and we were playing good football.
“The last couple of games have been a setback but you go through spells like this and it’s about how you react.”
