Silsden are awaiting a ruling after Saturday’s North West Counties Premier Division clash at St Helens Town was abandoned late on.
The match referee took the players off the pitch six minutes from time with the Cobbydalers losing 2-0 at the time.
Spokesman Jim Rosser said, “It was a good match but it was brought to a halt because of a downpour and thunder and lightning.
“It is officially abandoned but there was a precedent set earlier in the season.
“A game between two clubs in our division was abandoned 15 minutes from time because of a serious injury. On that occasion the result stood.
“I don’t think we will find out until the end of the month when the next league meeting is scheduled.”
