Bradford City, without a game in the Women's FA Premier League last week, are back in action tomorrow with a West Riding County Women's Cup first round tie away at West Riding League Premier Division leaders Farsley AFC.

City are four divisions above their West Leeds opponents in the women's football pyramid but they will do well to think back on the shock exit at the hands of Castleford White Rose in last season's quarter-final.

The reward for the winners of this tie is a home game against Guiseley or Bradford Park Avenue.

Avenue, also from the West Riding League, will be looking for a giant-killing at the joint North East Regional League Premier Division leaders.

But, with only a Dani Williams goal to show for their efforts in a 3-1 defeat by Farsley in their last outing, a huge turnaround is needed if Avenue are to spring a surprise.

Silsden are at home to Leeds side Republica Internationale, Dewsbury Rangers, from the West Riding League Second Division, face a tough home tie with Lepton Highlanders, and the remaining ties are Rothwell Town v Brighouse Sports, Wetherby Athletic v Brighouse Town, Castleford White Rose v Wakefield, Brayton Belles v Wortley and Tingley v Leeds Medics.

Leeds United, Brighouse Sports, Rothwell, Ossett Town, Leeds City Vixens, Harrogate Railway and Ossett Albion have byes.

Ossett Town are in league action when they entertain Keighley Oaks in a West Riding Premier game, hoping for a dramatic improvement on the 18-0 defeat at Brighouse Sporting in their last outing, while Albion, pointless at the foot of the table, produced the shock of the day in the Regional League (South) when they went to Southern Division leaders Wetherby Athletic and forced a 2-2 draw.

Nicky Swift and sub Steph Wray were on target to break Albion's duck and put them in good heart for the visit of Millers to Dimple Wells this week.

Huddersfield Town were without a game in the Northern Combination but now face fellow title-chasers Stockport County in three games back to back.

Town, who are a point behind joint leaders Stockport with two games in hand, are at County this week and at home next for crucial league games and then entertain the Greater Manchester club in the FA Women's Cup.

Town Reserves had Shauna Messenger on target in their FA Reserve Division clash with Sheffield FC but went down 4-1 and remain bottom of the league.

In this same division, Bradford City find themselves joint top after goals from Mel Garside-Wight, Becky Kendell and Molly Sharpe secured a 3-1 win to end Newcastle United's unbeaten start.

City Reserves are at Derby County and Leeds United are at home to Huddersfield Town, while the City A team, with three wins out of three, are without a game this week in the West Riding League Third Division.
