Ricky Ravenhill is on his way out of Valley Parade.
The former club captain has asked to leave City because of a lack of games – and they will help him find a loan move.
Phil Parkinson confirmed that Ravenhill’s name has been circulated and he expects someone to snap him up quickly.
The Bantams boss said: “Ricky is a terrific professional and loves playing. He has just been frustrated that his chances have been limited so far this season.
“He is aware that his contract is up at the end of the season and he feels he needs to play some games to help him earn another one.
“I can understand that and when the sheet with his name lands on managers’ desks, I know there will not be a shortage of offers.
“I think there will be a queue of clubs wanting to take him. Rick won’t be waiting too long.”
Ravenhill, 32, joined City on loan from Notts County in November 2011 and made the move permanent two months later.
He has made 64 appearances but has been restricted to a back-up role behind Gary Jones and Nathan Doyle. He has played only three times as a substitute in City’s 11 league games this season.
With new recruit Matthew Bates also able to play the holding midfield role, Ravenhill felt the time was right to look elsewhere.
Parkinson said: “This time last year he was in the same position and got himself in the team. But he wants to be playing regularly.
“He decided it. I was more than happy to keep him because he’s a very good member of the squad.
“Rick did very well when he came into the side at the end of last season and played a big part in helping the club get to where we are now.”
Meanwhile, Parkinson has played down the spat with Ronnie Moore at the end of Sunday’s loss to Tranmere.
Moore had accused the City chief of “getting carried away” after Parkinson told him to stop sarcastically applauding the home crowd.
Parkinson said: “I’m certainly not getting carried away with anything; I just said it as I saw it. There was no need to do that to our supporters.
“But Ronnie and his staff came in for a drink with us afterwards and we look forward to the meeting at their place.
“I was more frustrated about the refereeing performance. I have been on the phone to (Football League referees’ manager) David Allison about it.
“I have been complimentary over the referees this year. I think they have been good but for some reason that wasn’t the case in the Tranmere game.”
