Lee Butler will be City’s goalkeeping coach for the new season.
The well-travelled 47-year-old has taken up the role that had been carried out on a temporary basis by Matt Duke since Kevin Pressman left for Millwall.
Butler, who has signed a one-year deal, was coach at Doncaster from 2008 until last month. He worked under Sean O’Driscoll, Dean Saunders and Brian Flynn at Rovers before Paul Dickov came in.
Sheffield-born Butler played for various clubs including Barnsley, Aston Villa, Wigan, Dunfermline and Halifax – where he began his coaching under Chris Wilder.
