Former Bantams boss Peter Taylor has named rising Leeds star Sam Byram in his final 21-man squad for this summer’s Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.
Taylor has included Byram after the home-grown defender’s highly impressive rise to prominence at Elland Road during the past season.
The team meet up at St George’s Park on Monday to begin preparations for the tournament before flying out to Turkey on Wednesday, June 12.
England will be based in Antalya for their first two group games against Iraq on June 23 and Chile on June 26. They then move to Bursa for the final round-robin match against African champions Egypt on June 29.
