Long-serving goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin and winger Garry Thompson have been told they are definitely in City's plans for League One.
The club have exercised an option in their contracts to keep the pair at Valley Parade for next season.
As reported in the T&A earlier this week, City have also done the same with Kyel Reid. Promotion also triggered another year for skipper Gary Jones, who is expected to take it up.
Phil Parkinson will wait before revealing what will happen to the others in the squad whose current deals are up.
The City boss said: "We are still speaking to several of the players in the squad and finalising the exact budget for next season. We will keep fans up to date when we can say more."
