Phil Parkinson’s in-depth scouting reports are all part of his meticulous preparations.
The City boss likes to leave no stone unturned when doing his homework on the next opponents.
So the Friends of Bradford City fund-raising group knew it was money well spent when they splashed out on the Wyscout software scouting packages for him to use.
Friends chairman Mark Neale said: “Phil asked us if we would buy it for the club and, as we had the money available, we were able to do so.
“Something must have worked because City have had a great season and I know Phil has said the software has come in extremely useful. So the supporters who raised the money have seen a tangible result to helping us help the club, which is what we are all about.”
The Friends have just finished their second season aiding the club and recently organised the player of the year awards, which was attended by a record 650 fans. They have also paid for new laundry equipment and sponsored a game.
Neale said: “When everything is reconciled from the player of the year night, we should be near to our target of £20,000. We will be discussing with (directors) Roger Owen and Graham Jones what the club need next.”
