City have announced a U-turn on their plans to sell tickets for Sunday’s play-off second leg at Burton.

They initially intended to make them available immediately after the first game at Valley Parade on Thursday. But following concerns from supporters about the timing, tickets will instead now go on sale on Saturday from 8am.

Director of operations David Baldwin said: “This is a football decision. The idea of selling tickets after the game ticks all the boxes with regard to safety and reducing inconvenience to fans.

“However, the prospect of fans potentially leaving the stadium during a crucial part of such an important game is something we would not want to see.

“We hope that this decision will enable all Bradford City fans to get behind the team from the first minute to the last.”

Fans can buy one ticket for every 2012/2013 season-ticket or flexi-card. Someone queuing with six cards will be entitled to six tickets, subject to availability.

There will be no online or telephone sales.
