Thornbury Celtic won the Bradford Sunday Alliance League's Intermediate Cup final at Manningham Mills - thanks to “Saf and Shizzy”.
Safraz Akhtar and Shazad Iqbal were the heroes for the victors, and a solitary strike from Akhtar was enough to beat Pudsey Amateurs, while skipper Iqbal was man of the match for the winners.
Celtic created most of the chances and played the match at a fast tempo throughout, and this seemed to trouble the Pudsey team, who created few chances.
The higher-rated team took control of the game at the outset and never looked like they would lose, missing chances in the second half to really take control.
West Bowling kept alive their Premier Division title hopes with a convincing two-goal victory against Dudley Hill Rangers.
Marc Price scored after 15 minutes to put the league leaders in front and a well-taken goal from Joe Jagger on 75 minutes clinched the points for Bowling.
Wests have only one match to play against Bradford Skip Hire and need a maximum from that.
Buttershaw White Star have two to play - against Mill Lane and Sandy Lane - and will be hoping that Bowling slip up in the last match.
In Division One, Stanningley Albion rounded off the season with a 3-1 victory over Cuedos Rangers to clinch the title, the goals coming from Andy Kenyon (2) and Johnny Townsend.
The fight for the runners-up position will go down to the wire, with both George Hotel, who beat Buttershaw Celtic 2-1, and Peel Park, who triumphed 4-2 at Manningham, still both in with a chance depending on their results next week.
Allerton clinched the Division 1A title with a dramatic last-minute winner from Tom Yeadon at Woodman Wibsey after a brace from Johnny Crompton had pulled the champions level.
In Division 1B, possible champions White Hart Eccleshill won 5-2 over Prospect, while, in Division 2B, Swaine Green, who are guaranteed promotion, won an 11-goal thriller at Apperley Bridge.
Thornton United Reserves leapfrogged Cartwright Lister to move into second in Division 3A with a 3-1 victory, while leaders Mill Lane Reserves hit Aire Athletic Reserves for double figures to remain in pole position.
Meanwhile, in Division 3B, Junction Wyke gained emphatic revenge for their cup-final defeat to Lyceum, beating them 11-0.
