Farsley AFC 0, Warrington Town 3
Farsley flattered to deceive again as they competed with visitors Warrington Town only to let themselves down by conceding three goals inside the last 20 minutes and also finish with ten men.
Neil Parsley’s men were looking forward to the clash with their mid-table rivals in Evo-Stik League Division One North after a testing run of games against the top clubs but were put to the sword yet again.
The home side were nowhere near their best in a generally poor game, although Gareth Grant had the best chances for them in a goalless first half.
The deadlock was eventually broken by Ashley Ruane in the 71st minute and Warrington’s much-travelled striker Ciaran Kilheeney added a second soon after.
Farsley skipper Rob O’Brien was dismissed seven minutes from time, his red card for denying a goal-scoring opportunity, and Kilheeney netted again in the last minute.
Parsley will have to lift his side for tomorrow night’s trip to second-placed New Mills before his weary and shell-shocked troops end their campaign with a home game against Bamber Bridge next Saturday.
