Bantams keeper Matt Duke was given a run-out for the reserves in their 1-1 home draw with Grimsby Town in the penultimate fixture of their Central League Reserve Division campaign.
Duke was the only senior player on show at Valley Parade in a City side packed full of apprentices and trialists.
City took the lead with a penalty on eight minutes by Oliver McBurnie.
The lead lasted barely five minutes, however, as midfield trialist Daniel Man over-hit a back-pass, which flew past Duke and into the back of the net.
