Farsley’s testing end-of-season Evo-Stik League Division One North schedule continues on Saturday as they visit Skelmersdale United, who need just a point to seal the title and one automatic promotion spot.
Neil Parsley’s men were play-off contenders until February but are now playing for pride only.
That pride has taken a battering recently and in the last week in particular, hosting Skelmersdale on Saturday and being humbled 5-1.
In midweek they then travelled to fourth-placed Mossley and were beaten 3-0.
Prior to the Skelmersdale reverse, Farsley had gone to second-placed Trafford and lost 3-2, having previously been beaten by local rivals Harrogate Railway Athletic at home by the same score.
Parsley says the four-game losing streak has made his mind up about some of the players in his current squad and they will not be on the retained list.
