West Riding County Amateur League leaders Steeton can pick up their first piece of silverware of the season tomorrow night.
The Premier Division pacesetters take on Craven League Division One outfit Silsden White Star in the Keighley & District FA Challenge Cup final at Silsden’s Angel Telecom Stadium.
Steeton go into the game knowing they will still be in pole position in the league after Saturday’s round of fixtures.
Their 5-2 midweek victory at Tyersal ensured they kept their five-point cushion over closest rivals Bay Athletic, who won 1-0 at Hall Green United, and six points clear of third-placed Ovenden West Riding, who saw off Campion 3-1.
Bay are involved in the Huddersfield FA Challenge Cup this weekend and could be overtaken by Ovenden, who host Lepton Highlanders.
Two consecutive defeats have seen Campion slip to ninth in the table and tomorrow they visit Hall Green, who would leapfrog them with a win.
Fourth-placed Salts are at Storthes Hall, who are a point behind in fifth, and Tyersal travel to Kirkburton in a mid-table battle.
MIDWEEK RESULTS – Premier Division: Hall Green Utd 0, Bay Athletic 1 (J Declan-Thomas); Lepton Highlanders 0, Golcar Utd 1 (J McAliskey); Ovenden WR 3 (D Randall 2, C Pownall), Campion 1 (D Hook); Storthes Hall 1 (G Armitage), Marsden 1 (S Kelly); Tyersal 2 (T Ryan 2), Steeton 5 (A King 2, A Rooke, L Reilly, C Simpson).
