Third-placed Bradford City go to Sheffield United Community on Sunday as they continue the punishing three games in eight day schedule, set throughout this month, in a bid to take the Northern Combination title.

Despite losing their unbeaten record in a 2-1 defeat at home to South Durham and Cestra a week ago, Mel Garside-Wight collecting her 16th goal of the season, City hit back in mid-week to beat Leeds City Vixens 2-0 with goals from Emma Dobson and Jodie Redgrave and the chance to overhaul leaders Chorley and second-placed Durham remains in their own hands.

Garside-Wight, City's record all time scorer, twice hit the bar against Vixens but was unable to increase her tally as, like their male counterparts push from promotion.

In this same division Huddersfield Town, at bottom club Stockport County, look good for a top-half finish after four goals from Emily Heckler earned them a 4-2 win over Mossley Hill.

In the North East Regional League Southern Section, Keighley and Ossett Albion, who are level on points, are still scrapping to avoid the bottom spot but the City A team are hoping for a mid-table finish, despite playing their last game at home to unbeaten champions Rothwell on Sunday.

Kirklees boosted their chance of a top four finish with a 5-3 win over the City A team and lowly Ossett are their visitors.

Guiseley are still in with a chance of a mid-table finish in the Premier Division, thanks to goals from Caroline Hulme (2) and Abi Barker in the 3-2 win over Castleford, and they are back in action on Tuesday against York City.
