Jamie Foster column: It will feel like playing at a neutral ground when we face London at Wycombe tomorrow.
The Broncos don’t get the biggest crowds anyway and it can’t be good for them to keep having to move games. You’re messing the fans about and it won’t feel like they are at home.
Hopefully it’s something we can take advantage of and pick up the two points. After that game we’ve got Wigan, Warrington and Leeds in a row so that’s going to be tough.
I thought we were unlucky to come away with only a point from Headingley because we performed very well. The game against Salford was a bit frustrating but at least we got the win.
London are a bit up and down and there’s no reason why we can’t get another good result.
Obviously I won’t be involved because of the ankle injury. It’s part and parcel of playing such a contact sport but it’s still disappointing to miss out.
I’ve been pretty lucky over the three or four years I’ve been playing Super League. I’ve had a couple of bangs on my knee but never missed anything like six or seven weeks.
Hopefully it’s just a little blip and I’ll be back out there playing before long.
I’ve seen the likes of Luke Gale and John Bateman, who have had surgery in the off-season and had to be patient. But we’ve got a very good physio team at Bradford and, whatever happens, I know I’ll be in good hands.
There’s quite a bit of swelling on the ankle at the moment and I’ve been wearing a boot and using crutches. But the X-ray on Tuesday showed no break and there is a little bit of movement now.
I’m really enjoying my rugby this season, probably more than at any time in Super League. I knew Bradford were a big club when I came here and the team are going from strength to strength.
It’s looking very promising and I can’t wait to get back out there.
