The members of Crow Nest Park voted on a unanimous basis for John Haverstock as its new club president at the annual meeting.
Haverstock follows John Turner, who has been president for the last nine years. He will take over on April 1.
He will becomes the club's third president and his term in office is initially for a period of three years.
The new president had previously held the office of rabbits captain in 2003 and the office of club captain in 2006.
John Haverstock was born in Scotland and has been an active member of Crow Nest Park since joining in 2001. He said: "I am honoured and flattered to have earned the respect and trust of the members and I am looking forward to the role."
