A special celebration was held to mark Baildon Golf Club’s brilliant treble last season.
The club won top-flight titles in the Bradford Union Scratch League, the Bradford 8-15 Association and the Bradford Rabbits Association.
Baildon have consistently enjoyed success across different levels of competition but claiming a clean sweep of district crowns was a great achievement even by their high standards.
Neville Hargreaves, the 2012 president, said: “This is the first time the club has won all three championships in the same year and we wonder if it has ever been done before?”
Baildon have dominated the Scratch League over the last decade, winning the Division One crown six times, while the 8-15 team last won the league in 2007.
Baildon’s rabbits have also been regularly in the silverware, their latest Division A title being their fourth in seven years.
The club have also ann-ounced the appointment of Joy Griffiths as vice-president for this year, meaning she will become Baildon’s first female president in their 116-year history in 2014.
Baildon are keen to attract new members. Contact secretary Paul Weatherill on 01274-584266 for more information on special offers.
