Brighouse Town remain third in the top tier after they came from behind to beat Parkgate 2-1 at the Dual Seal Stadium.
It was an uncharacteristically poor first-half display from Town and they trailed at the break after Craig Fletcher had put the visitors in front midway through the half.
The home side came out for the second period with renewed vigour.
Danny Nadiole levelled before the hour and Ryan Hall netted the winner three minutes from time which will send Town into next Saturday’s ‘overseas’ trip to Newport Isle of Wight in good spirits.
Town chairman Ray McLoughlin said: “Paul (Quinn, manager) must have done a good job at half-time and sent the lads out up for it. It was one of those when once we got going we looked like winning but it did take us a long time.
“It keeps the unbeaten run going. I think its 15 games now, and proves that our FA Vase run hasn’t mean we have taken our eye off the ball. Everyone is looking forward to next Saturday but we are still keeping the pressure on the two clubs above us in the league.”
Neighbours Thackley could have done them a massive favour had they beaten leaders Scarborough Athletic but, despite taking a lead into the break, there was no joy at Dennyfield for Vince Brockie.
A tenth-minute strike from Matt Hall put the home side in front but they were blown away by a second-half Ryan Blott hat-trick.
Tony Hackworth and Jimmy Beadle also weighed in with late goals for the Seadogs.
