Bradford City are finding themselves thwarted by the weather in their bid to secure promotion from the Northern Women’s Combination.

Their postponed FA Women’s Cup second-round tie at Nottingham Forest has been rescheduled for this Sunday – leaving them now ten points adrift of leaders Chorley, albeit with three games in hand.

Huddersfield Town did get their tie at Middlesbrough played but they never recovered from a 3-0 interval deficit and eventually lost 4-1.

Town’s next outing is at home to Leeds City Vixens this weekend as they look to consolidate their mid-table Northern Combination position.

If City manage to overcome Forest, they will face Sheffield United Community in the next round, while Leeds United enter the fray with a third-round tie against West Ham.

In the North East Regional League Southern Division, the City A team face a reunion of sorts.

Kirklees, who had former City players Yasmin Ayub and Sonya Smith-Moore on target in their 5-2 defeat at the hands of Doncaster Belles Reserves, are the visitors to Rawdon Meadows in a game neither side can really afford to lose.

Keighley Oaks are fourth from bottom after a 7-1 defeat at Malet Lambert and, with Ossett Albion losing 2-1 at Wetherby to remain bottom, only two points now separate Albion from sixth-placed City A.

Julie Richardson was on target for Guiseley in their 2-1 defeat at York in the Premier Division and the Nethermoor outfit will hope for better at Hull City this weekend as they look to hold on to their top-flight status.

Bradford Park Avenue are desperate to get another West Riding League game under their belt after a string of postponements has left them without a game since October.

Pontefract Sports & Social are their scheduled Premier Division hosts on Sunday, while Silsden are at Hebden Royd in Division One.

In Division Three, Cleckheaton lost their derby clash with Dewsbury Rangers 3-0 and now travel to Crossley, while Dewsbury entertain Oulton.
