Farsley boss Neil Parsley has hailed Dave Stead’s impact ahead of Saturday's home game against Prescot Cables.
The striker has scored five goals in four games, combining with partner Adam Priestley, who has claimed three.
Parsley said: “Gareth Grant’s hamstring has been restricting him so we have just been putting him on the bench for emergencies but Dave has seized his opportunity well.
“He has been growing in confidence game after game and has really contributed.”
Following victories over basement outfit Garforth Town and third-from-bottom Ossett Albion, Farsley, who currently occupy the last play-off place in Evo-Stik League Division One North, had to settle for draws at Harrogate Railway and Ossett Town.
Saturday’s visitors to Throstle Nest are fourth from bottom.
Prescot will be glad they are travelling as they got all of their three wins this season on the road.
They have also drawn three away games, while their home record is very poor.
