Andy Gray is coming back to Bradford City after nine years away.
The well-travelled striker, 35, has agreed an 18-month deal subject to Football League clearance once the cancellation of his present Leeds contract has been confirmed.
Gray scored 21 goals in 81 appearances during his first stint with the Bantams before leaving for Sheffield United when the club was in administration in 2004.
He played under Phil Parkinson at Charlton and was close to returning to Valley Parade last summer before opting to stay in the Championship with Neil Warnock's Leeds.
But he has found opportunities there limited and has started only one game in the Capital One Cup.
Parkinson was keen to bring in competition for James Hanson and is delighted to finally get Gray.
He said: "It will be good to see a fresh face at the training ground and I believe Andy will really buy into what we are trying to achieve.
"Andy has a lot of experience under his belt and will offer us something else in attack."
Gray has also played in the Championship with Burnley and Barnsley.
