Bradford Salem Rugby Union Club have won their first trophy of the season - but at a different sport.
The Heaton-based club, going well in Yorkshire One, were crowned the Rugby Clubs' Golf Championship winners at Walton Heath.
A score of 84 stableford points saw them triumph on a countback from Southend in the national final at the former Ryder Cup venue.
Salem members Julian Earnshaw and Jack Redhead carried off the prize for the best pair with 45 points. They were backed up by Tony Rennison and Graham Scarborough, who carded 39 points.
In addition to winning silverware, the quartet - who all used to play for Salem - earned their club a new set of rugby shirts plus other equipment.
The new strip, courtesy of RAM rugby, will be presented before the home game against North Ribblesdale on November 18.
Team captain Rennison said: "It's taken a lot of attempts to claim the trophy but I am delighted to have won the shirts for the club. We'll be back next year as this has become the most prestigious championship in its field."
The team reached the final after coming through local and regional qualifying at Shipley and Willow Valley respectively.
Another quartet from Salem also made the final, finishing midway down the field.
The event was run by Wooden Spoon, a rugby charity which supports disadvantaged children.
