Eccleshill United have appointed former Leeds United striker and Bradford City assistant manager Bobby Davison as their head coach.
He has held a similar position at leading Hungarian club Ferencvaros after cutting his teeth in management with Guiseley at the end of a playing career that took in spells at Sheffield United and Derby County, as well as Leeds.
Davison is the permanent replacement for Ian Banks, another former Bantams’ No 2, who left the Eagles at the start of last month.
Eccleshill’s director of football Mark Ellis has been in caretaker charge since Banks departed (full reaction from the club in Saturday’s non-league page)
