SIR – Latest figures show that nationally there was a small fall in unemployment in the three months from May to July, but not in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Nor, indeed, in Yorkshire and The Humber, where unemployment increased by a staggering 23,000 during the same period.
Bradford MPs said this Government’s austerity programme is not working and they must wake up to this crisis, but Conservative MPs Kris Hopkins (Keighley ) and Philip Davies (Shipley ) were not able to comment. Surprise, surprise.
