SIR – You can always rely on George Galloway to be consistent and well balanced – he is invariably wrong on both sides of an argument.
Although I do not wish to see innocent people killed or injured, if using a drone aircraft to attack terrorists saves only one of our troops’ lives, then I support their use. They seem to be far more accurate than indiscriminate shelling.
Do he and his cohorts really wish us to believe that not using drones will result in fewer terrorist attacks on the West by the Taliban and other terror groups? If Pakistan did not covertly support the Taliban then there would be no need to carry out any form of military action on or near its borders.
Using his perverted logic, does this mean if we cease to punish drug dealers and rapists these crimes would cease to exist?
