SIR - Mr Collins's letter of October 17 does little to improve things for the people of Bingley.
The gift he talks about should be given back to the building society and they in turn could turn it into a car park for their staff and stop them blocking our right of way to the shopping centre with their cars.
The Housing Trust could put their house in order, stop the rot in York Street, Ferncliffe Road and Leonard Street, not let it go the same way as Woodend Crescent in Shipley (completely empty now).
They have started by removing garages and outhouses in York Street, the space quickly claimed for parking by - yes that's right - Bradford & Bingley employees!
Weak leadership is to blame. The owners of Myrtle Walk cannot do business with people who have no business sense - Bradford Council.
S Walsh, Church Street, Bingley
