SIR – I would like to thank all residents in Manor Street, Riverdale Road, Garnett Street, North Avenue and Walkergate, Otley . who co-operated and moved their cars so gulleys and gutters could be cleaned. This was made possible due to residents contacting their local Labour team.

I am sure residents will have noticed the gulleys are in a better state now and should relieve the problems after heavy rainfall flooding and the problems it can create.

I would also like to thank Otley Town Council for the prompt delivery of letters to the streets concerned so the operation ran on time.
