SIR – Can I congratulate you on your leader “Village life is feeling the pressures”?
This is happening all over Bradford, more houses with no road infrastructure. There are two new developments planned up here – Eccleshill FC and Newton’s.
The EUFC application was passed in Shipley and Newton’s was passed by the Bradford planning panel, but both developments will enter and exit by Kingsway, which is already used as a rat-run by motorists to get to the traffic lights on King’s Road.
Of our local councillors, one is 100 per cent behind EUFC – Councillor Vanda Greenwood who was quoted in the T&A when she first came to Wrose saying: “The people of Wrose do not have the recreation space they should have required by Government regulations”.
One wonders where the recreation space for our new neighbours is. The land bordering Newton’s is designated building land for 200-250 houses. Are they all going to enter and exit via Kingsway?
Bradford Council have a lot of questions to answer, and it is only through the T&A that our concerns can be heard.
Thank you for your time.
Mrs Kathleen Wilson, Kingsway, Wrose
