SIR – Like many households, the time has come, yet again, to change energy supplier and tariff, or this time face a staggering 20 per cent increase!
So, as usual, I went through the online comparison process, this time with four comparison sites that returned three different (alleged) cheaper suppliers.
Fortunately, I still have the ability and resources to do this kind of annual routine, but age will inevitably take over and possibly make me one of the vulnerable people in Keighley , easy prey for these organisations.
These vulnerable people must be paying well over the odds, not just for energy, but also for other services.
How sad that despite 13 years of “socialist” government, these practices have not only survived but are thriving. And what wimps have we Brits become to just accept a tax (five per cent) on such an essential commodity?
So, do please take the trouble to compare, and if necessary switch, or get someone to do it for you. I know it’s a shame that it has come to this.
