SIR – In response to A Grant’s correspondence regarding new homes being built (T&A, August 13), he and the group (RAGE) claim there isn’t a need for these new houses.
Just to clarify matters – there is! Myself, like Mr Grant and others, may not like it, especially on greenfield sites which is a crying shame, but it is inevitable.
The population is rapidly growing unfortunately, in my opinion!
Every single window from my house is overlooked by someone else’s property. I often feel overwhelmed, would much prefer to live on a “green field”, but that’s life!
As Mr Grant correctly points out all the negative aspects it would bring, I can’t see it making any difference. Times are a-changing, folks. It’s either “put up and shut up” or be labelled a “NIMBY”.
